FAQ
If I'm prone to air-sickness in airplanes, should I go in a helicopter?
By all means. A helicopter is hardly effected by turbulence like normal aircraft. It's a much smoother ride than a plane. If in the rare case you do get sick, don't be embarrassed to warn the pilot. Often he will be able to make a landing to give you a break and get over the nasty feeling.
Are helicopters safe?
We wouldn't fly if it wasn't safe. Our pilots are not dare-devils but well trained professionals. Also the Bell 206 Jetranger is the most built helicopter in the world and has the best records in safety.
At what days and at what times can I fly?
We are open 7 days a week. You can make a reservation via phone or via mail. If you just drop in we can try to fit you into our schedule - but to be sure make a reservation in advance! We start flight operations at 9AM and finish around 6PM. However, we do make exceptions.
Am I allowed to bring a photo camera or video camera?
Of course. No problem.
Which flight would you recommend?
It all depends on the experience you crave. We recommend the 30-minute Island Adventure Flight 1 as the minimum for passengers to get to see the City at its best and enjoy the natural reserve at Eastpoint.
The complete with lunch Fly-Sail Quest to and from the uninhabited island of Little Curacao, with the most beautiful beach of both islands combined comes also highly recommended.
Do I need to book far in advance?
It happens that days are fully booked, so the best thing to do is to book early during your vacation.
How do I get to the airport?
We are NOT at the airport! We are right smack in the middle of the centre of Willemstad along the canal to the inner harbor. Follow the signs when you drive there. By car or taxi we are not more than a 10-min ride from most big hotels. We request that passengers check-in min.15 minutes prior to departure. Parking is available free of charge outside our building at Motetwerf, Otrobanda, Willemstad.
What if the weather is bad on the day of our flight?
HAHA! That will be the day! In the slight chance the pilot decides it rains too hard, we will reschedule your flight otherwise there won't be a good chance for pictures.
Is there a dress code?
Come as you are, but please not only in swimsuits. When we pick you up at your hotel, shorts and a T-shirt are fine. Remember: while getting in and out of the helicopter it could be windy (for short skirts & dresses!). Please bring along your ID+Driver's license if you come by car.
