This tour includes a 30 min similar to the Island Adventure Flight 1, but covers the western part of the island. Instead of going to base after the 30 min tour, we continue to the more mountainous and lush side of the island, which gives an extra dimension to the flight. Here we can crawl and creep through ravines or hover like a falcon over the highest top on the island: the St. Christopher Peak in the National Park with the same name.
Westpoint village is known for its fishing industry. Here the religious fishermen have been challenging the high seas for centuries with small wooden boats to bring in the food for their families. We land at the beautiful Lodge Kura Hulanda for a refreshment and lunch (included in the price) before we return via the south coast back to base. The beach-dotted south shore is a stark contrast with the forbidding North Coast. Here, on the last stretch to home we pass many a secluded sandy cove hugging the clear turquoise ribbon of shallow water, where Robinson Crusoe would have felt quite at home.
