After discovering the harbor and the city, we escape civilization. Ride shotgun with our pilots over the uninhabited country-side of Eastpoint with its ruins of ancient plantations;  Pass Devil's Cliff, the doom of many a ship, where at night the vessel's ghost captains can still be heard whimpering to mourn and pray for  their lost ship and crew; Soar over Eastpoint Bay, where Eagle Rays are sometimes visible ''flying'' with their broad wings over  the white sandy bottom; Big turtles are seen in their natural habitat looking for a place to bury their eggs.

 

Circle over the cliffs of Canon Point. Currents here are so treacherous that many a swimmer lost the contest; Fly by the rough untamed North Coast. The huge waves, built up by the trade winds all the way from the eastern Caribbean Sea, throw themselves with disdain on the rocky shore, spraying the coast with a constant layer of salt making it uninhabitable and almost convince you that you fly over Mars. This is also home to many wild donkeys and roaming sharks. If we're lucky we'll spot this ruthless ocean predator in Playa Canoa, the only bay on the island where surfers like to catch a wave and play tag with the sharks.
